Holy Week 2022

During the Holy Week, we are offering a diversity of experiences and worship opportunities where prayers are at the centre of the gatherings, especially for peace for the world. We are looking forward to opportunities to gather to break bread at the Eucharist Table and also at a community table, take advantage of our proposed events for Holy Week to rekindle relationships, meet new peoples who have joined the Parish during our separation periods, and flash that friendly smile as we are together in the name of Christ to collect resources for the people of Ukraine.

Apr 15, 10:30 am, St Mary the Virgin, Blackburn – Stations of the Cross will be a quiet and meaningful experience of scripture, music, and prayer. Hold the deep sense of grace on this day in the community.

2 p.m. St Mary’s Hall – Prayer for Peace: we will gather for a brief prayer for peace and host a fundraiser in support of humanitarian efforts through the Red Cross, following the lead of our Diocesan prayer for peace. 3:30 p.m. Baked goods and Craft Sale: all proceeds will go to support Ukraine through the Red Cross. Have you missed pies from Bearbrook? What about cookies from community baked sales? How about Christmas cookies in April? Come and fill your tummies and your shopping baskets with goodies to support a community crying out for justice and support.

Lives are at stake. Our compassion and generosity can fill the gaps.

To donate baked goods:

Friday (April 15) between 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday (April 16) morning until 1 p.m.

We invite you and your friends to join us for a morning filled with HALLELUJAHS! The leadership of St Mary’s Navan is encouraging all to join these two worship options for fuller gatherings of the faithful. Ever wondered if you could join a hallelujah chorus? Come give it a try.
